Update 05/2025: One-Year Anniversary & May in Review

As we celebrate our one-year anniversary at Redacted Hosting, it’s the perfect moment to reflect on our recent milestones, current projects, and future ambitions. We are immensely proud of our journey so far and deeply grateful for the vibrant community that has grown around our platform.

Accomplishments from May

May proved to be a productive month, primarily focused on essential maintenance and break-fix tasks to enhance platform reliability. Our team successfully addressed several critical issues, ensuring minimal disruption and optimal performance for all users.

Additionally, we decommissioned a web application that heavily relied on survey functions. Currently, we're actively brainstorming potential replacements, carefully considering the pros and cons of offering such a service, and evaluating whether the additional workload is justified. User experience remains our central priority, guiding this careful assessment process.

One particularly exciting achievement this month has been our dedicated effort to integrate offensive cybersecurity training through Hack The Box into our learning environment at training.redactedhosting.com. This integration enables our students to directly apply their academic knowledge within realistic, practical laboratories, significantly enhancing their skills and readiness for real-world scenarios.

Furthermore, we have successfully onboarded users from diverse new industries, particularly entertainment and e-commerce. Previously, our user base primarily consisted of subject matter experts from technology, medical, and military sectors. Learning the intricacies of the entertainment and e-commerce industries has been both exciting and enlightening, opening new opportunities and perspectives for Redacted Hosting.

Current Projects and Initiatives

Our team is currently developing an ambitious project: an offline, locally-hosted large language model (LLM) or artificial intelligence machine. We are in the early hardware design and brainstorming stages, aiming ultimately to provide comprehensive, open-source documentation. Our vision is to empower users everywhere with the knowledge and capability to build their own AI agents locally. We anticipate AI becoming as common as household devices like microwaves or personal computers, and we are excited to contribute meaningfully to this inevitable future.

Upcoming Goals for June

Looking ahead, our priorities for June include significant enhancements to our training curriculum at training.redactedhosting.com. We plan to deepen our offerings in offensive cybersecurity capabilities, utilizing tools such as Kali Linux and various other Linux distributions. Comprehensive documentation and enriched academic resources will further strengthen our training environment.

Additionally, we are resuming our regular publications on cybersecurity news, trends, and insights. Keep an eye out for upcoming articles designed to keep you informed and ahead of emerging threats and industry best practices.

Ongoing tasks will include regular DevOps activities such as break-fixing, implementing feedback from both current and new users, and assisting in onboarding additional users, students, and instructors to ensure a smooth and enriching experience for everyone.

Gratitude and Commitment

As we mark one year with the Redacted Hosting project, we sincerely thank all of our users and community members for your invaluable support. Your engagement and feedback have made this journey both rewarding and impactful.

We look forward to scaling further, exploring new frontiers, and developing innovative capabilities together. Here’s to another year of growth, learning, and digital empowerment.

Thank you for being a part of this remarkable journey. - Redacted Hosting team.
