Update 04/2025 Update: Branching out our ideas.
The month of April has been notably productive, marked by several significant milestones and successfully managed challenges. Our recent data center relocation, although initially presenting unexpected technical hurdles, has largely been completed. We have effectively resolved most issues arising from this transition and continue addressing ongoing tasks related to break-fix operations and other technical support activities.
One particularly exciting achievement this past month was the introduction of a new category focused on additive manufacturing. The decision to broaden the scope of our content aligns with Redacted Hosting's vision as not merely a hosting platform but as a comprehensive ecosystem. Our ecosystem integrates seamlessly with training.redactedhosting.com, providing robust hosting solutions for both educational materials and technical expertise on hardware and software management. We are dedicated to fostering an enriching learning environment for our readers, students, and community members, guided by our philosophy: "docendo discimus," meaning "by teaching, we learn."
The additive manufacturing category is just the beginning, marking the start of an expansive initiative designed to further diversify and enhance our offerings.
Other notable advancements this month include ongoing improvements to our GitLab/GitHub DevSecOps web application project. Currently, we are in the research phase, diligently exploring optimal implementation strategies to serve our user base effectively. User feedback remains crucial in shaping our approach, exemplified by our collaboration with external platforms such as Probation Nation (https://www.probationnation.org/), "The Gateway to a Better Life through Community Supervision." This partnership provides invaluable external perspectives, helping us to ensure our platform remains inclusive, user-centric, and responsive. We greatly appreciate this collaboration and encourage our readers to visit their site.
Furthermore, significant networking improvements have been realized following our data center move. Once ongoing maintenance tasks are completed, our focus will shift to addressing feature requests and further enhancing our training courses available at training.redactedhosting.com.
Looking ahead to May 2025:
We have several ambitious initiatives planned. These include the publication of additional computer-based trainings (CBTs) designed to further enrich our educational offerings. We will also focus on feature implementations such as Nextcloud integration for users and application maintenance within our Virtual Computer Lab (VCL). Ensuring the reliability and security of our systems remains paramount, especially as we move closer to the beta launch of our containerized collaboration application.
We remain committed to continuous improvement, community engagement, and delivering high-quality, secure, and reliable hosting and educational solutions.
